Concrete

Building Lincolnshire’s Future, One Mix at a Time

At Welton Aggregates, we don’t just supply concrete — we supply confidence. From our sites at Welton and Louth, we deliver BSI-approved, ready-mixed concrete to developers, contractors, and builders across Lincolnshire, backed by BS 8500-2 and BS EN 206 compliance on every single load. Whether you’re pouring a driveway or a heavy industrial slab, you can trust that what arrives on site is exactly what was ordered — right first time, every time.

Our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditations aren’t just certificates on a wall. They’re our promise: quality you can rely on, and an environmental conscience that shapes how we operate every day.

A Mix For Every Job

Designated Concrete

Our GEN and RC designated mixes are the industry’s go-to for everyday construction — simple, certified, and dependable. From bedding a kerb to laying a fully loaded ground floor slab, there’s a designated mix engineered for the job.

  • GEN0–GEN3 — the workhorses of general construction: kerb bedding and backing, house and garage floors, with or without a permanent finish.
  • RC20/25–RC40/50 — built for ground floor slabs, from light foot traffic right through to the toughest heavy industrial wearing surfaces.
  • PAV1/PAV2 & RC40/50XF — engineered for driveways and heavy-duty roadways that need to stand up to constant traffic.

Reinforced Concrete

When structural integrity is non-negotiable, our RC-grade mixes deliver. Designed to work seamlessly with nominal or full reinforcement in ground-bearing, suspended, or void-supported slabs, they give engineers and contractors the strength and reliability structural work demands.

Standardised Prescribed Concrete

Prefer a proportioned mix over a designated one? Our ST1–ST5 prescribed concretes offer a proven, straightforward alternative across the same range of general and ground floor applications — without compromising on quality.

Paving Concrete

Driveways, footpaths, and heavy-duty pavements need concrete that can take a beating and keep performing. Our paving mixes are formulated for durability and long-term performance, with the right consistence for a flawless finish every time.

Foundation Concrete for Aggressive Ground Conditions

Difficult ground shouldn’t mean difficult decisions. Our full FND range (FND2 through FND4m) is engineered to the Design Chemical, Aggressive Chemical Environment, and Design Sulfate classifications of BS 8500-1:2023 — giving you complete protection from straightforward strip and trench fill foundations right through to the most aggressive ground conditions, with additional protective measures available for extra peace of mind.

Two Sites.

One Fleet.

Covering Lincolnshire.

Behind every load is a fleet built to get concrete to you exactly when you need it. Operating from two sites at Welton Le Marsh and Louth, we run a fleet of 6m³ and 8m³ mixer lorries, giving us the flexibility to handle everything from a single domestic pour to a full commercial delivery schedule.

Collections are available direct from either site, and our delivery area stretches right across the county — from Skegness to Lincoln, Market Rasen to Grimsby, Immingham, Stallingborough, Horncastle, and beyond. Wherever you’re building in Lincolnshire, Welton Aggregates can get concrete to you.

Concrete with a Conscious

Concrete is the second most used substance on the planet after water — a scale of use that comes with real responsibility. The industry that makes it possible is also responsible for up to 8% of the world’s carbon emissions, making it one of the biggest environmental challenges construction faces today. At Welton Aggregates, we believe that’s a challenge worth tackling head-on.

Change is already here. The November 2023 update to BS 8500-1:2023 and BS 8500-2:2023 was a genuine turning point — significantly raising the permissible thresholds for supplementary cementitious materials and, for the first time, formally recognising multi-component cement combinations. In practical terms, that means ternary blended concrete has moved from niche to viable at scale.

We’ve moved with it. Alongside our established binary blends — combining Portland cement with GGBS to cut embodied carbon without cutting corners on performance — we now produce ternary blended mixes, layering GGBS with additional supplementary cementitious materials to push clinker content, and carbon output, down even further. Every drop remains fully compliant with BS 8500-2 and BS EN 206.

And for customers who want to go further still, we go further still. Our ultra low carbon concrete builds on the same binary and ternary blended foundations, combining GGBS-rich mixes with recycled aggregates to reduce demand on primary raw materials, and backed by carbon offsetting to address what can’t yet be engineered out. It’s the natural next step in our approach to lower-carbon concrete — taking everything we’ve already achieved through blended binders and pushing it further, giving customers a genuine ultra low carbon option without compromising on the strength, durability, or compliance they expect from every Welton mix.

This is more than a product update — it’s our commitment to a lower-carbon future for construction. Every cubic metre of binary or ternary blended concrete we supply is a cubic metre with a smaller footprint. We believe quality and sustainability should never be a trade-off, and we’re proud to be leading that change here in Lincolnshire — helping our customers build brilliantly, and build responsibly.
